Compassionate Therapy for Kids and Teens with
Janelle Thompson, CSW-I
Growing up is full of changes—and sometimes those changes feel overwhelming. As a therapist who specializes in working with children and teens, I help young people navigate the stress, emotions, and big questions that come with growing up in today’s world.
Whether a child is experiencing anxiety, grief, trauma, or struggling with friendships or identity, I create a safe, supportive space where they can feel understood, heard, and empowered. My goal is always to meet kids where they are—offering encouragement, structure, and practical tools they can use both in and outside of therapy.
With a background in advocacy and crisis support, I’ve worked closely with youth navigating major life transitions, school stress, family changes, and interpersonal trauma. I believe that emotional safety and a strong therapeutic relationship are the foundations for lasting growth.
