The Las Vegas valley is about thirty miles across, and anyone who has driven from Summerlin to Henderson at 5 p.m. knows that a therapy appointment can easily cost two hours once travel is counted.
Since that is one of the more common reasons people stop attending, it is worth being practical about where to book.
The two offices
East valley — 3430 E Russell Rd, Suite 315, Las Vegas, NV 89120
South-east of the resort corridor, near the airport. Straightforward from Paradise, Whitney, Sunrise Manor, Green Valley, Henderson, Boulder City, Silverado Ranch, Seven Hills, and the southeast generally. It is also the closest of our offices to the airport, which matters for the substantial number of people who work there.
Northwest — 6955 N Durango Dr, Unit 1004, Las Vegas, NV 89149
Up in the northwest, off Durango near the 215 beltway. Convenient from Centennial Hills, Providence, Skye Canyon, Lone Mountain, Summerlin North, Aliante, North Las Vegas, and the far northwest.
Telehealth — anywhere in Nevada
Secure video, from home, a parked car, a break room, or anywhere in the state with a private space and a connection.
Phone for either office: 725-238-6990.
How to actually choose
Pick by drive time at your appointment hour, not by distance. The valley's traffic patterns mean that a fifteen-mile drive at 10 a.m. and the same drive at 5:15 p.m. are entirely different propositions. If you can only do evenings, pick the closer office even if you prefer the other.
Consider the direction you are coming from. Many clients book near work rather than near home — an airport worker taking a session on E Russell before a shift, a northwest resident using N Durango on the way home.
Ask which clinicians are where. Our team is distributed across the two offices, with some clinicians at one location, some at both, and several who work primarily by telehealth. If you want a specific person or a specific specialty, availability by location is worth asking about at booking. We would rather match you well and sort out the logistics than send you to the nearer building and a poorer fit.
When telehealth is the better option
Not a consolation prize. For a substantial share of our clients, it is simply the better arrangement.
Shift workers. Casino, hospital, warehouse, and airport schedules make a fixed in-person appointment hard to hold. Video from a break room or a parked car preserves continuity when a roster changes.
Parents of young children. No childcare required. Sessions after bedtime or during a school day.
Summer. Between June and September, a twenty-minute drive in 110-degree heat is a genuine deterrent, and attendance measurably drops.
Anyone in rural Nevada. We are licensed statewide, so telehealth covers Pahrump, Mesquite, Laughlin, and further afield.
People with chronic illness or fatigue. Travel can consume an entire day's energy.
Anyone with agoraphobia or severe social anxiety. Starting from home is frequently what makes starting possible at all, and moving to in-person later can be part of the treatment.
Couples in different places. Both partners can join from separate locations, which for opposite-shift couples is often the only way it happens.
When in person is worth the drive
Children, particularly younger ones. Play-based and expressive work with a three- to eight-year-old benefits from being in a room with materials.
When home is not private. A full household or a difficult living situation makes confidential video hard. The office solves it.
Where the trip itself is useful. Some people find that leaving the house, driving somewhere, and physically arriving marks the session as separate from ordinary life. That has real value.
Some trauma work. Certain approaches are easier in person, though most can be adapted well to video.
If video sessions leave you disengaged. Some people simply connect better face to face. That is a legitimate preference and it is worth honoring.
Practical notes for a first visit
Arrive a little early for your first appointment to complete intake paperwork, or complete it in advance if we send it to you.
Both offices are suite locations in professional buildings with parking. Bring your insurance card and photo ID for the first visit. If you are self-pay, you will have received a written Good Faith Estimate beforehand.
We are in network with most major plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Health Plan of Nevada, and Silver Summit.
You can change your mind
Location is not a permanent commitment. Plenty of clients start in person and move to telehealth when a schedule changes, or the reverse. Some alternate — video most weeks, in person occasionally.
If a change in your work or your commute has made your current arrangement hard, say so rather than quietly attending less often. That drift is the most common way therapy ends without a decision.
Book wherever you will actually go
The best office is the one you will keep showing up to in February and in July. If you are not sure which that is, call 725-238-6990 or request an appointment and tell us where you are coming from and when you are free — we will suggest the arrangement most likely to last.
